Washington Arbitration Week

Washington D.C. is the epicenter of investment arbitration. It has the headquarters of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), law firms specialized in investment arbitration, public international law and international commercial arbitration, international organizations, United States federal agencies specialized in investment arbitration, embassies, vibrant law schools, NGOs and think tanks. Washington D.C. Arbitration Week (WAW) provides an organic D.C. forum in international arbitration for its legal community and the international and foreign community connected to it. WAW will further advance the analysis and discussion of developments reflected in arbitral awards, treaties and international instruments at the forefront of international arbitration.

WAW was one of the biggest events we organized in 2020. An event that sought to connect the international arbitration community in Washington DC and also arbitration practitioners who, although they do not reside in Washington, due to their practice have contact with the city constantly. WAW 2020 (the first edition) featured 14 panels on different arbitration topics that are being debated worldwide, and were discussed by panelists of a high caliber and highly recognized in international arbitration.

World Arbitration Update

The World Arbitration Update (WAU) updates the global community on key and novel topics of investment and international commercial arbitration, and public international law in a decentralized forum, emphasizing on inclusion and diversity, and going well beyond the main centers and cities where international arbitration traditionally takes place.
