María Carolina Giraldo Navarro is Senior Consultant of Xtrategy in Bogotá, specializing in foreign trade, international political economy and regional integration. She is an internationalist and anthropologist from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where she graduated with honors, and has one year of professional experience in the public sector, supporting the management of Colombia’s economic relations and Trade Agreements with Latin America and the Caribbean.
Before joining Xtrategy, María Carolina worked at the Economic Integration Direction of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism. There, her practice mainly focused on supporting Colombia’s National Coordination of the Pacific Alliance, preparing the country’s reception of the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Andean Community, and assisting the Direction’s Trade and Gender team.
In 2022, María Carolina co-authored the article “Colombia vis-à-vis regional integration in Latin America: between leadership initiative and precedence towards the United States” with Professor Germán Camilo Prieto, from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, published in Análisis Político Magazine.
During her university degree, she was the research assistant of the International Political Economy Research Group, from the International Relations Department of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
