Juan Pablo Rodríguez is an International Clerk of the Arbitration and International Law practice at Xtrategy in Bogotá. He has academic and practical experience in public international law, international arbitration and human rights law.
Previously, Juan Pablo was part of the Colombian defense team in a case before the Interamerican Court of Human Rights and he was involved in the drafting of amici curiae before the same court in various cases.
Juan Pablo was Teaching Assistant (TA) of General International Law and Contract Law and currently serves as TA of Special Regimes of International Law at Universidad de La Sabana, where he is currently finishing his degrees in Law and Political Sciences.
In 2022, he was a part of the champion team of the Colombian national rounds of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and competed in the international rounds, where he and his team reached the advanced rounds. He also won the award for best oralist of the Manuel Muñoz Borrero International Humanitarian Law Competition in 2019. Recently, he coached Bulgaria’s University of National and World Economy team for the 2023 edition for the Philip C. Jessup competition.
