María Camila de Brigard is a Senior Associate of Xtrategy’s Litigation, Arbitration and International Law practice in Bogota, specializing in domestic and international arbitration, and public international law. She is a lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia, where she graduated with honors, and holds a masters in International Legal Studies from the New York University School of Law, where she received the Dean’s Graduate Award. Her professional experience includesmore than 5 years in national litigation before Colombian courts and national and international arbitration. María Camila recently passed the New York bar exam, and is currently awaiting admission.
Before joining Xtrategy, María Camila worked as a Litigation Specialist of the Dispute Resolution team at Baker McKenzie in Santiago, Chile. There, her practice focused on representing clients in international arbitrations under the rules of the CAM Santiago and the ICC.
In 2020, María Camila won the Independent ProbonoLawyer of the year award granted by the Fundación Probono Colombia.
During her law degree, she was a finalist in the regional championship of the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition and qualified to the world rounds held in Geneva, Switzerland.
